Wind Chill 風寒指數
--
|
It is the index
that combines air temperature and wind speed to estimate how cool
one actually feels. (We usually feel colder on a windy day than on a
calm day with similar air temperature readings. It is because winds
can carry away the heat energy that is trapped next to our skin and
induce heat loss through evaporation of any moisture on our skin.)

Web Site) |

Heat Index 酷熱指數
--
|
It is the index
that combines air temperature and relative humidity to estimate how
hot one actually feels. (If the relative humidity is high, we may
feel hotter than the air temperature recorded. It is because the
moisture around slows down evaporation. Our body heat cannot be
released easily.) (Reference: National Weather Service of NOAA) |
