Assembly - Encounter with God in Our Lady of Charity Chapel

Our Assembly Talk titled “Encounter with God in Our Lady of Charity Chapel” was held on 4 October 2019. We were happy to have invited the Chapel Making Team to share with us how the establishment of Our Lady of Charity Chapel, which is a gift from our sponsoring body, the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, has been realized through the concerted efforts of the project team members. Ms Teresa Tse, the staff member of Diocesan Audio-Visual Centre began the assembly with an introduction on the planning and organization of the whole chapel project. Sr. Catherine, the overall designer of the chapel and the Delia Tetreault's Avenue, shared with us the purpose and meaning of constructing the new chapel, which are providing a solemn place for students and teachers to talk with God and to find inner peace and to manifest the school core values through the project. Sr. Marie, the artist of the wall paintings and the four stained glasses of the chapel and Ms Ivy Chan, the artist of the four displayed drawings about the story of Mother Delia in the Delia Tetreault's Avenue, explained their artworks and the messages they wish to convey. We are really grateful for the thoughtfulness and generosity of the MIC sisters for this wonderful gift to our Tak Oi Community.
