CAFEA Young Talent Smart City Forum

We are delighted to share the wonderful news of our talented students’ success at the CAFEA Young Talent Smart City Forum held on 19th and 20th July. 4D students Sharon Yiu, Alice Kwan, Christie Ko, and Giann Wong showcased their creative innovation on "EEG-Enabled Smart Contact Lenses for Personalized Depression Therapy". The innovation aims to solve the problem of depression using Electroencephalography (EEG) and artificial intelligence technology. Their empathetic ideas and remarkable teamwork helped their project stand out in the competition and earned them the Best Academic Articles award in the academic article category.

 

We congratulate Sharon, Alice, Christie, and Giann on their exceptional achievements at the forum. Their success is a testament to their hard work, creativity, and commitment to making a positive impact.

2024 Secondary School Model UNESCO International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Education

Three students — Zoie Chan, Alice Kwan, and Sharon Yiu from 4D — formed a team and excelled in the preliminary round of the prestigious 2024 Secondary School Model UNESCO International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Education. They advanced to the main conference held on July 7 at the PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus. This conference featured four divisions, each with 14 delegations consisting of students from various local and international secondary schools across Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

 

This event mirrored the structure and dynamics of international conferences, providing the students a unique platform to engage deeply with current global issues. The primary focus for our students was to debate and develop innovative solutions for the responsible and effective use of AI in education, aimed at fostering sustainable development. Their outstanding performance and proactive contributions were highly commended, highlighting their commitment to addressing complex global challenges.

 

 

 

Filmit Competition 2024

The TOPs TV Team has got the Outstanding Documentary Award in the Filmit Competition 2024 organised by the NET Section of EDB. The theme this year is “Symphony of Love and Growth”. Our girls directed the documentary featuring our Chemistry Teacher Mr Julian Yu’s love for his family and friends. It was indeed a rewarding experience for the girls to learn from the teacher during the production. We believe that our girls will continue to excel in video and film production in future years.

 

 

 

 

Hong Kong Science Fair

We are thrilled to share the wonderful news of our talented students' success in the recent Hong Kong Science Fair held on 8th and 9th June. 3A students Isabelle Liu, Venus Ng, Candy Song, and Phoebe Wong showcased their creative innovation "WEconnect," which aims to solve communication problems faced by the hearing disability individuals and help others understand sign language with the uses of artificial intelligences technology. Their project earned them the Bronz Award in the junior secondary category, which featured over 500 entries. The prizes included HKD $5,000 in scholarships for each student winner, as well as HKD $50,000 school development fund.

 

The empathetic ideas and remarkable teamwork of Isabelle, Venus, Candy, and Phoebe helped their product stand out among the competition. They demonstrated their passion, dedication, and ability to think outside the box.

Hong Kong Secondary School Students Cooking Competition

We are thrilled to share the wonderful news of our talented students' success in the recent Hong Kong Secondary School Students Cooking Competition on 11th May. 3A Greta Lau, 3A Belle Pang, and 3A Karly Ngan showcased their exceptional culinary skills and creative flair, earning themselves the first runner-up position and the Most Creative Award.


Greta, Belle, and Karly's outstanding performance not only impressed the judges but also demonstrated their passion, dedication, remarkable teamwork and ability to think outside the box.

Their culinary creations delighted the taste buds and captivated the judges with their artistic presentation. The judges commended their ability to infuse unique flavors and ingredients, showcasing a harmonious blend of tradition and creativity.

 

We congratulate Greta, Belle, and Karly on their exceptional achievements in the cooking competition.

 

 

 

 

Interschool Basketball Competition (C Grade)

We are very proud to announce that our C Grade Basketball Team achieved the 1st Runner-up in the Interschool Basketball Competition (Division 3 Kowloon 2) last Saturday. The match was very breathtaking. Every player played with every ounce of their energy and effort. This was a wonderful journey in which our young players not only gained experience but also showed their passion for basketball. We wish the young players will achieve a greater success in the future. We also thank teachers, parents and students who came to support with their presence.

Interschool Basketball Competition (C Grade)

We are proud to announce that our C Grade Basketball Team won the matches in the quarter final against ESF King George V School and semi-final against David Li Kwok Po College on 19/4 and 23/4 respectively. Congratulations!

 

The final match of the Interschool Basketball Competition (Division 3 Kowloon 2) will be held this Saturday. Let’s support and cheer for our young players.

We are proud to announce that the school choir was awarded the Bronze Award—Class 63, Secondary School Choir-Foreign Language-Age 15 or under-Girls-Second Division-Junior--in the 76th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival (2024). Congratulations!

Chinese Orchestra Team has achieved the Silver Award in Chinese Instrumental Ensemble in the 76th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.  

5A Helen Wong is awarded the 3rd place in the class of age 19 or under, soprano vocal solo singing in foreign language in the Festival.
